I'm not what you'd call an 'alpha male' or 'ideal'. I'm not an athlete, a Rhodes scholar or an entrepreneur. I'm what you'd call 'realistic'. Ladies with high standards, look elsewhere.

What is 'realistic' then? Well, I'm a fairly average university student with aspirations to be a film-maker, or perhaps a writer. Am I attractive or an interesting person? Well, you'd have to tell me, because I'm not the type to talk myself up. Most people I meet say I'm very intelligent and surprisingly talkative once I get my mouth moving, so if you're perhaps looking for erudite conversation mid-coitus, I'm your man.

On a more serious note, I can tell you that I'm honest and gentle. I won't ever lie without cause, and I understand fully that no means no. Tell me the limits, and I'll stick to them.

I'm not huge on looks, but you'll have to forgive me for passing if you look as though someone took a blunt instrument to your face as a child. Mind you, when you're as desperate as me, you can't be too picky.

I'm not in this for a serious relationship, or even a friendship (though that might change). I'd like to meet someone open-minded who can accept that I might not live up to their expectations, and is willing to be patient with me. Of course, I'm somewhat lacking in experience, so I can't afford to set standards for anyone else. If you're feeling up for it, just give me a try. What's the worst that could happen?
