Thanks all :0) today has been awesome, new job going well, got car looked at and only minor repairs, a lady at work's fella is a mechanic and came and checked it out for me, will get a few basic parts at cost and not charge for labour so will only cost about $50, I can deal with the few little marks. Whiplash is just mild discomfort now so all good there too. The other things have pretty much fallen into place and have made some exciting plans this weekend....going away with a girlfriend and something else planned besides. Have heard from a good friend that I haven't heard from in a long time and it was a beautiful, sunny 30 degrees today....kids are on the mend so should manage a bit more sleep tonight. Life is very good indeed :0)

That is such a good response... I love it. Parts of our life can be really hard and yes, you can make choices about what kind of a person you choose to be. Resentment and bitterness are terrible and only eat one up inside....it's much kinder to be nicer to yourself through adversity

Gees! Didn't realize you had a car accident! I wrote off our car once on the highway going to my birthday dinner! I was fine and no-one else hurt- I was #2 in a three car pileup. There is something about a car crash that is very disconcerting and is an emotional shock as well as a physical one.

Hmmm turds in a blender....,,now THAT could be very nasty indeed, especially if the lids is not on tight lol

Well have been up a whole 10 mins and so far the whiplash is not too bad, hopefully the car makes it to work, there are one or two people there who may be able to look at it for me, only superficial damage to the bumper where she hit me but it is making a noise kinda like when the fan belt is on it's way out so will have to see.....

Rough night sleep wise as the kids are sick, had a few other issues arise all within 15 mins of the accident but most of those are sorted now, or are just the way things are, so as previously mentioned, just need to suck it up....well here's to a new day, I hope it is a great one for all :0)

This is not a profound philosophical or self help answer, just another description of the problem.

A friend of mine asked me yesterday about some third party issues impacting me were going and I said "Like turds in a blender!"

He's ex military and later in the day asked "What's the sitrep [situation report]?"
I said "You mean what's the shitrep?"

None of this will help any of you resolve any of your problems but if you can laugh about them it may give you a new perspective :-)

With days like that I often just have a laugh. What can you do really, but put anything you learnt down to experience. Its not like we question why we have a completely awesome day!
In terms of life's journey you may go left or right but life goes on no matter what and it is all in front of you. You cannot control what is behind you except in how you learn from it. Also if you never make mistakes you never learn anything.
