Fear Of Love
At times he often found himself submerged deep in the thought of her, detailing everything in his mind as though it were a picture, from her soft, gentle skin, her sweet but tender lips, the purity and clarity of her beautiful green eyes, her long autumn blonde hair gently swaying in the breeze as she stood in front of him wearing the most pure of white sleeping gowns.
At times he would hear her laughter in his mind, he knew that it wasn't her but it would still fill him with joy, the image of her laughing and smiling would raise his spirits from the deepest depths of the darkest abyss in which they often lay.
He often dreamt of her, dreams of a world he knew he would never know, A place were the two of them were together happy, running free through an endless field of blooming daisy's, a place where the two of them would embraced each other in one another arms staring deeply in to each other's eyes only to share the most tender of kisses where fireworks would explode.
He would see them laying in a safe warm bed him with one arm across her chest, she lay still not saying a word with her head gently resting on his chest listening to the soft, relaxing beat of his heart, she knew she was safe and no harm would befall her, lips trembling, Nerves shaking she would whisper in his ear ' I love you', calmly but gently he would look into her eyes and whisper softly "and I you , with all my heart".
At this moment he would start to realise that these were dreams, and that would kill him deep down on the inside because he knew that that is all they would remain, he knew that the love he had for her would never fade away, for it is our hearts that choose the ones we love. He allowed fear to stop him from revealing his soul to her.
He felt that she did not feel share his love, he did not want to lose her, not being able to see the beauty that filled his life with hope and light would destroy him, however his heart continued to ache and yearn for her and he had become torn, for he knew that she would not be his for they were to different in so many ways
Her free spirit would not caged, and he would not want that as it is what made her unique, this is what drew her to his heart in the beginning, no matter the suffering he went through on the inside, he never wanted to change her for his own desire's, for he loved her to deeply.
In his mind he played it over and over how it would tell her his true feelings, every time he thought of it he would get so emotional a tear would fall from his eye. He imagined himself telling her that she was the most beautiful women he had ever seen, that her beauty ran deep into her soul, he would tell her the world was hers and he would give it to her.
He would look her deep in her eyes and whisper ever so gently that she inspires him to be a better man, she makes him believe that nothing is impossible, that he can do anything with her in his life, the sky is limit when she is by his side and he wants her to be part of his life because he has so much love to give her and he can no longer contain it his heart.
He wants to share every waking moment with her, he would move heaven and earth for her if that is what she desired just to see her smile and hear her laugh.
He had reached the point now where fear had had to much influence in his life, he knew it was time to let her know how he felt, As he approached her place of work he had a feeling of uneasiness, he thought it was nerves. As he walked up to her and seen that smile and heard her laughter fill the room he felt at peace.
That peace did not last long, an armed gunman burst in and began to rob the store, everyone complied to his wishes, amidst the panic the gunman, nervous and on edge fired his gun in her direction, without any hesitation he dove in front of her taking the bullet right through the heart, the gunman shocked ran off leaving him to bleed out.
She screamed and started crying, on her knees with his head in her lap, she started to confess that she had always loved him, that she had often dreamt of the two of them together, happy and with a family, she never said anything for she was afraid and didn't want to lose him.
As he lay there dying looking up at her, tears streaming from her eyes, he used his last few breaths to tell her that his heart always belonged to her and nobody else could have ever taken that away from her.
As he started to fade off he seen her with his eyes closed, standing over him in all her beauty, he asked for one kiss before he died, she knelt down and whispered, My heart has always been yours to have, she gently and softly placed her lips upon his and kissed him for the last time, when he awoke he was shocked to find that he was alive, he looked around and seen a letter that simply read "I give you my heart to keep".
